Was steckt eigentlich hinter dem Begriff Microcredentials – und welche Chancen bieten sie für Studium, Lehre und Weiterbildung?
Microcredentials sind kurzzeitige Lernformate, die gezielt und bedarfsgerecht dem Erwerb vom (Schlüssel-)Kompetenzen dienen und diese nach Abschluss mit einem Zertifikat („credential“) bescheinigen. 📜
Neben vertikaler Durchlässigkeit zwischen verschiedenen Bildungswegen (z.b. Wechsel zwischen Beruf und Hochschule) bieten Microcredentials auch großes Potenzial für horizontale Durchlässigkeit – etwa zwischen verschiedenen Fachrichtungen und Hochschulen. Damit können sie perspektivisch dazu beitragen, Studienverläufe flexibler zu gestalten und die bekannten Wahlmöglichkeiten zu erweitern. 😎
In unserem Workshop geben wir eine kompakte Einführung und wollen gemeinsam erarbeiten, welche Rahmenbedingungen für eine erfolgreiche Einführung und Umsetzung von Microcredentials notwendig sind. 🛠️🤝

What exactly does the term “microcredentials” mean—and what opportunities do they offer for study, teaching, and continuing education?
Microcredentials are short-term learning formats designed to help learners acquire (key) competencies in a targeted and needs-based manner, with completion certified by a credential.📜
In addition to vertical mobility between different educational pathways (e.g., transitioning between the workforce and higher education), microcredentials also offer significant potential for horizontal mobility—such as between different disciplines and institutions of higher education. In this way, they can help make study paths more flexible and expand the range of available options. 😎
In our workshop, we’ll provide a concise introduction and work together to identify the conditions necessary for the successful introduction and implementation of microcredentials. 🛠️🤝
